Tutin Gets the Sewerage Network Project

05 December 2013, Tutin

The main projects for the riverbed development of the river Vidrenjak and its tributaries Resnik, Pečaonica and Svračićki potok, as well as for the construction of the main sewerage collector were handed out today to the municipality of Tutin. These projects were produced with financial support of the European Union and the Government of Switzerland through the European Partnership with Municipalities Programme EU PROGRES.

There are 18,000 inhabitants in the central Tutin but there is no appropriate way for drainage and treatment of wastewaters. That is why this project worth EUR 20,000 involves construction of the route for the collector for wastewater drainage. Along with that, there are plans for construction of the wastewater treatment system. These projects will allow the municipality of Tutin to obtain the necessary approvals and money for the construction of the system. The municipality of Tutin received additional funding from the Ministry of Agriculture and Office for Sustainable Development of Underdeveloped Areas so that it could commence works on the collector route with EUR 132,000.

“Technical design documents contribute to resolution of one of the main problems in the area of municipal infrastructure of the Tutin municipality and that will allow us to obtain the means for implementation of these projects”, said Salih Hot, Mayor of Tutin municipality.
