Citizen Assistance Centre in Crna Trava will be constructed by April 2013 with financial assistance by the European Union and the Government of Switzerland through the European Partnership with Municipalities Programme - EU PROGRES. This municipal centre should start fully delivering to the citizens  a chance to do the following in one location and in a faster and simpler way: obtain certificates of birth, acquire labour booklets (employment record), verify documents, submit a request for starting up a shop, apply for construction permits or solve a request for social protection.

Five Municipalities Start Preparing Programme Budgets and Capital Investment Plans

The municipalities of Medveđa, Vlasotince, Vladičin Han, Raška and Nova Varoš will be extended expert assistance in preparing programme budgets and five-year capital investment plans until June 2013. This assistance, funded by the European Union and the Government of Switzerland through the European Partnership with Municipalities Programme EU PROGRES, is to improve the budget preparation process in these local self-governments as the switch to programme budgeting is the key step towards improving public spending efficiency and effectiveness.

Citizens of Vranje Participate in 2013 Budget Planning

As part of the street action under the title “Your money, our responsibility”, Vranje citizens were choosing priority areas and projects to be financed in 2013. Citizen survey was part of the good governance campaign called “I want to… because I live here” and the project introducing participatory budgeting practices on the local level funded by the European Union and Government of Switzerland through European Partnership with Municipalities Programme – EU PROGRES in 25 municipalities in South and South West Serbia.
